The challenge
- Wireless blind spots across production and utility zones.
- Existing infrastructure not designed for growing digital workloads.
- Frequent connectivity disruption affecting operations and productivity.
- No seamless integration between enterprise applications, CCTV and OT systems.
- No central monitoring or real-time network visibility.
What we did
- Turnkey delivery: survey, design, supply, install, test, commission and support.
- CAT6/CAT6A structured cabling with a fibre optic inter-building backbone.
- Core and access switching, enterprise wireless, SFP modules and rack PDUs.
- Parallel workstreams to compress the timeline without disrupting production.
Scope of delivery
Executed workstreams
Passive infrastructure
- CAT6 / CAT6A structured cabling
- Fibre optic backbone between buildings
- Network racks, patch panels and cable trays
- HDPE and conduit pathway routing
- Cable labelling and as-built documentation at handover
Active infrastructure
- L3 core switches with VLAN segmentation
- Managed access switches at every distribution point
- Enterprise wireless access points with roaming support
- SFP modules and copper-to-fibre media converters
- Rack-mounted PDUs on UPS-backed power
Testing & validation
- Every copper node certified to ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 6A using Fluke test equipment
- Insertion loss tested on all fibre links, with OTDR trace characterisation
- End-to-end continuity validation across all nodes
- Port, throughput and redundancy testing on the active layer
- Post-installation wireless survey and throughput testing by zone
Standards & compliance
- TIA-568, IEEE 802.11 and ISO/IEC 11801 installation standards
- Grounding and earthing at all racks
- Bend radius and cable segregation standards enforced
- HSE compliance throughout site activity
Outcomes
What the customer got
- Seamless network availability across all operational and enterprise zones.
- Measurable improvement in wireless performance and signal consistency campus-wide.
- Infrastructure headroom for IoT, automation and surveillance expansion.
- 100% of nodes tested, certified and validated before customer handover.
